MTL Spurs

Our measurements follow FEI Rules (measuring from the base of the boot to the end of the spur) We feel this is a more rider-centric approach that provides a truer measure of the effective length and impact of the spur. USEF rules state to measure the spur from the base of the spur to the end of the tip.

Riders wear spurs to refine and reinforce leg aids, allowing for more subtle and precise communication with a horse, encouraging responsiveness and movement in specific directions. Spurs are an extension of the rider's heel, enabling them to give more precise and subtle cues than just using the heel alone. They can be used to encourage a horse to move forward, laterally or to change gaits, but should never be used to punish a horse or to force a horse into a movement it is not ready for.
