Emily Miles, local to LaCygne, KS, is a dressage trainer, rider, and breeder. As she likes to say she's "been riding since before (she) was born," literally in the utero of her mother. Emily is a graduate of the University of Kansas and now lives in Paola with her husband, Jeff, and their son, Oliver. Jeff and Ollie help manage the farm.

Emily has been very fortunate to have had amazing horses available to her at every stage of her riding career, often because of homebreds, and these horses have been her best teachers. She grew up on the breeding farm so often rode stallions, including Macht, Deutschmark, Mushu and now WakeUp, Daily and Mio. It was never a financial option to buy a trained or fancy horse so Jana and Emily bought them super young or tried to breed them. This idea of breeding the next superstar is what fuels the breeding today. Riders make horses and horses make riders so breeders need to breed some nice horses!

Emily, with Jana/Mama ringside, has gone on to earn many national titles including the U25/Brentina Cup and every Young Horse and Developing Horse division at the national championships… on multiple self trained horses. Emily represented the United States at the World Championships in Verden, Germany and Ermelo, Netherlands with WakeUp, Sole Mio and Daily Show. She is now sponsored by Leslie Waterman and Chasing the Muse Farm.

Emily enjoys teaching and helping others through training and clinics. She often finds that there is a lot to learn from teaching and puts great value on watching other riders and competitors.
